Tom Pidcock triumphed for INEOS Grenadiers in Overijse last year. The world champion cyclo-cross and Olympic champion mountain bike will also be at the start line this year in Leuven. He is taking Kwiatkowski, the winner of this year's Amstel Gold Race, on the road with him in the quest for a second consecutive victory.

At Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl, all eyes are on the duo Alaphilippe-Evenepoel. Reigning world champion Alaphilippe was already the best in Overijse in 2020 and is now taking a shot at a second victory. In addition to Evenepoel, he is also being supported by Devenyns, Cavagna and Vansevenant.

Last year's number 3 is also taking another shot at victory in Overijse. Trentin, who had to make way for Pidcock and Van Aert, is at the start line for UAE Team Emirates and is joining forces with Hirschi and the fast Covi. At Team Bikeexchange-Jayco they are banking on the fast legs of Michael Matthews, who has already been second on the podium twice in Overijse.

Lotto-Soudal is bringing Gilbert and Wellens, two former winners to the start line. Campenaerts who showed his great legs this spring season already, is also also one of the men to watch out for in that team. Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux, the team that have already triumphed in Gent-Wevelgem and the Scheldeprijs, will be at the start line with experienced leader Jan Bakelants.

The French AG2R Citroen Team has drawn the card of Benoit Cosnefroy again. He was yesterday's runner-up in the Amstel Gold Race and this race's number 3 in 2020, after Alaphilippe and Van der Poel. He has enlisted Naesen for support in his quest for victory. The other French team Cofidis is putting Coquard and Armée, a man from the region at the front. Israel-Premier Tech will be at the start line in Leuven with Fuglsang, Impey and Houle.

Bahrain Victorious is counting on Teuns, Tratknik and Wright, who finished seventh in the Tour of Flanders. Bora-hansgrohe is bringing Schelling, who just missed out on a podium place last year, to the start line. EF Education – Easypost has chosen Michael Valgren Hundahl. Trek-Segafredo can also rely on experience with Tony Gallopin and Alexander Kamp, 5th in the Amstel Gold Race.

Alpecin-Fenix has opted for the duo De Bondt-Meurisse. At Team Arkéa-Samsic watch out for Barguil and Anacona. Sport-Vlaanderen Baloise will finally be appearing at the start line with young talents Apers and Marit.

We will discover who will succeed Tom Pidcock at around 17h40 on Wednesday 13 April in Overijse and thus win the last Flemish spring classic of this season.
